What are these Bumps?
Some background. My daughter is 11, and has bad allergies, which she got allergy shots for over 5 years until recently. We are currently switching allergists. She also has food allergies which we have an Epi-Pen for.
About 2 weeks ago, she woke up with these bumps/bites on her legs, arm and wrist. She had about 7-9 bumps. They were VERY itchy, very pink and hard. I couldn't understand what it was from. The next night she sleeps in her room again and wakes up with 3 more bumps, one of which was on her thumb! So I decided I'd search her room for any insects (bedbugs, fleas, etc). I vacuumed her carpet, her mattress and washed all her sheets, pillow cases, comforter, etc., in hot water. I didn't find anything in her room that would explain where these bumps were coming from. I let her sleep with me that night and the next morning she woke up with 2 more bumps. I let her sleep with me for the next 4 days but she didn't wake up with anymore bumps.
I then decided I'd sleep in her bed to see if I wake up with any bumps. I did that 2 nights ago and woke up with nothing! So I figured she could go back to sleeping in her bed. She slept in her bed last night and this morning she wakes up with 3 more bumps!!! I haven't taken her to the doctor yet because I didn't think it was that serious. But now I'm not sure what it's from. If it were bedbugs or some other bug, wouldn't I have gotten bit when I slept in her room? Nobody else is getting these bumps/bites just my daughter. I don't know what it's from. It's frustrating not knowing why she's getting these things.
Now, the 7-9 bumps she originally had started turning into what looks like scars. They are not pink anymore, but more purplish/dark colored.
Any ideas???
She goes to private school, but obviously shares desks, and is around many kids. I have an appointment with our new allergist this Thursday, hopefully I can get some answers! It's mind boggling!

Itchy Skin, Help Please?
I have just moved my bedroom from one part of my house to another part of my house. Now while in my bedroom I get this annoying itchy feeling all over my body unless wrapped in tightly under my blankets. At 1st I thought maybe my cat brought fleas home or something but no one else that comes in my room is itching, besides me. It's getting real annoying now because I cant really get a good nights sleep unless Im wrapped up tightly under my comforter...that is uncomfortable as well because its summer here and its hot so blankets are not the best thing. I do have a past history of Hives/Allergies but I have not expeirenced hives in about 4 yrs. This is just so freakin annoying and makes sleeping in my bedroom so difficult. Anyone have any suggestions?

Pop Quiz!!!(Easy Points)?
Lol, I can't go to bed... So I need something to do so I don't go to sleep... These should be moderately easy. Who ever gets the most right will get the best answer. Try not to resort to looking on the internet, as it won't be fair for those who use just brains. And please NO rude comments. Thanks in advance!
1. What is the leading cause in pre-mature horse death?
2. How many times a year should an average horse's hooves be trimmed a year.
3. What is the most famous racehorse?
4. What is the rarest horse color?
5. What horse(s) is hypoallergenic?
Answers-
Okay so on the information I found, the answers I got were-
1. Coilc
2. It really does depend on the horse, but the average horse needs them trimmed every 6-8 wks, or 5-8 times a year.
3. Seabiscuit
4. The most rare horse colors: is white, because hardly no horses live that are Albino/white and true whites are rarely found. And I will also take any brindle, because I found something on it this morning, although I found white when making the quiz
5. Curlys

My 2 1/2 Month Old Son Hardly Sleeps…?
I can't figure it out. He falls asleep when I feed him, but within ten minutes of being put in bed, he wakes up. It's easy to put him down. The doctor says he has acid reflux, so I keep his head elevated. Here lately he's been sleeping with me and he sleeps flat on his back and is fine. Sleeping with me is the only way I have been able to get a little sleep. Even then he wakes up every hour on the hour. I'm thinking it's a formula issue though. I'm going to try a hypoallergenic formula. He's lactose intolerant and the on call dr. said he could be allergic to soy as well. We tried peppermint and Karo syrup in the past few days with no help. We were thinking it's colic, but I honestly just don't know. My oldest child wasn't a great sleeper either, but he was way better than this! Any suggestions?

What Small Pet Should I Get?
My step-sister is allergic to cats and dogs, and I had to get rid of my cat in order for our families to move in together, but I'm really upset about it and now I get pretty lonely. My cat used to sleep in my bed when it could and cuddle with me, so I want an animal that's cuddly and possibly would sleep in my bed at night (maybe). I also want to keep it low to medium budget. Amount of care needed can be any because I have a lot of time after school to clean but also because I go to school I'd like an animal that's not TOO dependent on me. I don't want two pets, just one. I want it to be a cage animal and no cats or dogs (like I said, she's allergic) and could possibly get along with a dog (hypoallergenic, of course). And if I think of anything else I will add it, but for now, suggestions and information would be lovely!

Growth Spurt, Or What?
My son will be 13 months on July 29th. He has always been a great sleeper. From the time he was born he would go to sleep at night when I did and only wake up once in a 12 hour time span. I was truly blessed having a newborn that woke up only once a night. Then at 4 weeks he started sleeping through the night, we lucked out!
Now, is a totally different story. He hasn't slept through the night in probably about 3 weeks. We're feeding him before he goes to bed (still trying to break him from that nighttime bottle, well now its in a sippy but he still has that) and then he'll wake up once at night to have another 8oz of formula and then has ANOTHER 8oz when he wakes up at 6am, then goes back to bed til 8 or 9 and wakes up and has a real breakfast. So, at 8, he has 8oz then at 3 or 4, then at 6.
Is this a growth spurt? He's never really woken up in the middle of the night for formula except when he was a newborn so this is new territory for me. Is there something I can do to get him to start sleeping through the night again, or is this payback for the sleeping angel I had when he was born (LOL)?
Additional Info: I'm not sure if people would ask why he is still on formula, but I'll tell so you know (although if you read my questions sometimes, you probably already know). He has a severe cow's milk protein intolerance. We found right now the best option (recommended by the allergist and his pedi) was to move him off of hypoallergenic (alimentum) formula at 12 months and put him on Soy formula. He gets re-tested in December (which I'm sure will be positive for an allergy to Casein, the protein, again) and then we will take it from there if he is to go on Soy Milk or not.
I know it is not a comfort thing, because he's never done this before it just started. He slept at his grandmother's last night and didn't do it, so I'm hoping for good news tonight!
Audrey's Mommy- I was wondering if it was that but then it kept going even after all of his 4 molars were and all the way through. Is it possible it is still that though, that they still hurt?
He also has fluid in his ears but he doesn't scream when he wakes up like with an infection (although he goes to the ENT on Tues), he just wants to eat and passes back to sleep.

Does Anyone Know Where I Can Buy a Water Resistant Duvet Cover?
I have a small puppy who sleeps in bed with my boyfriend and I. We have a very Expensive Hypo-Allergenic Duvet(down comforter) that we use to sleep at night. From time to time the pup pees on the blanket for unknown reasons, even if we have just taken her out.
She doesn't have any urinary problems and she's house trained in every other sense. At first we thought she may be smelling the duck feathers, and in turn marking her territory, but since the duvet is Hypo-Allergenic, it is made completely of cotton.
I was wondering if anyone knew where to buy a liquid resistant duvet cover?
We can't spray the blanket with any deterrent spray for allergy reasons.
ALSO: Having her sleep on the ground is not an option, we love her in bed with us (plus she keeps me warm).
Ok OBVIOUSLY this was misunderstood: Our Pup isn't going to be sleeping somewhere else. This question was asked to get feedback about water resistant materials, NOT to get answers about how to raise my pup.

Is this a Good Argument to Give to my Mother to Get Another Dog?
Why A 13 year old should be able to get a new dog.
This is a report to my mother about how I should Be able to get another dog.
The reasons for this report is because I was told by my english teacher, in all the years that I have gone to school, that if I want to get a point across, I should do my research, and make a report/ presentation. So, I will.
Reason number one::
Sebastian is lonely. You want to know why Sebastian is constantly chewing up your underwear and socks, he is bored, lonely. So he is trying to amuse himself. If there was another dog, there would be another toy, another friend for him to distract himself with. Because, as you know were are gone for an average of… oh about 40 out of 90 daylight hours on a given 5 day week. So that’s 40 hours of pure lonely ness and boredom. Now, imagine you can’t go to the bathroom, or eat, and are totally bored, with only 1 small book, in a big empty house for 40 hours, what would you do, be bored? Wish you had a friend? Exactly.
Reason number two:
Yes, We do have a dog, whom we love dearly. And as you know, he is 7 years old. That is old, for him. And when we got him I was about 7 or 8. So, obviously, I was a bit novice when it came to dog training, all I thought I had to do was give it a treat and it would know what he or she was supposed to do. But, now, as a responsible 13 year old girl (might I point out that girl mature faster than boys) I now know that I must feed it, walk it, train it and love it. I know you are probably thinking ‘shouldn’t you be happy with Sebastian’ and I am. But, also, I never really got the chance to ‘own the dog’ for I was little and thought, as previously stated, that giving him a treat and he would know everything.
And I want the chance to actually be able to say I taught him everything he knows.
Reason number three:
Facts state that in shelters approximately 3-4 million dogs and cats each year get put to sleep. So, if we adopt, we will be helping a dog, and saving his or her life. We don’t even have to adopt, we could foster. Foster (although you already know) means to: Care/ Take care of a dog, cat, human, etc. until he or she is ready for adoption. So, if we do that for about a month or two, we would save lives, and no permanent dog, but it also proves I’m responsible enough for a dog of my own!
Reason number four:
I know I have been known to not be the most responsible owner in the past. But, as you have seen, I have matured a lot. I have also become slightly neurotic about having a clean room, thus proving I am becoming more and more responsible. I am making myself a chore list of things to do to Sebastian and around the house. These things include:::
Cleaning up dog doo
Brushing
Walks
Sweeping and
Dishes.
I also will inform Alex to tell me everyday to do my chores. I will put the list on my bed (which drives me crazy!) to remind me everyday, when I get home from school. Now, I will not guarantee
that everyday when you walk in the door the house will shine. But, Bass will be brushed, The dishes will be gone, and the floors will be mildly clean!
Reason five:
As you know, I have always do research. So I have recognized the best breeds for us. But, we also could ,as previously stated, we could just adopt at the shelter. Anyway, the best breeds for us would be
-Yorkshire terriers
Reason: Low shed thus hypoallergenic.
Biggest problems are barking and potty, and I can train them out of that.
Good with kids and other dogs.
-Maltese
; Common, easy to find, friendly, hypoallergenic which means minimum shedding. Child friendly and dog friendly. Easy to train, and few health problems
-Poodles
; Friendly, hypoallergenic, comes in different sizes, Toy, Mini and standard, common. Smart. Calm when need be, hyper when outside. Can do well with little or much exercise, doesn’t show much domination.
-Mini schnauzer
(see poodle)
German shepherd
Reasons
Family dog, low shed rate. Friendly, tolerant and nice.
Collie
You remember
So five conclusive paragraphs with details and reasons that are very good and well. So, if we would be able to adopt a dog, much less foster, that would be very wonderful and I love you so much mommy.

How Can I Make my Room Cooler During the Summer?
So I'm just about fed up with how hot it gets in my room and the light shining in on summer mornings. I never get any sleep anymore because of it. I live in Alabama and it's been in excess of 100 degrees the past few days. Despite having the air conditioning on a cool 72 degrees, I still wake up sweating in the morning because my bed is by the window. I have an extremely small bedroom, so there's no choice but to put my bed on the wall next to the window. The bed also half-way blocks an airvent.
I can't use a fan because of severe allergy problems, and I already sleep without a comforter, so what are some other things I can do to make the room cooler?
I read somewhere that you can use window tint cling. Would that work?
